When Was Google Founded? – Know The Answer about World’s Biggest Search Engine

When was Google Founded

In this article, I will take you into the wonderful world of Google. How a study project became a search engine, and how a search engine was founded and became one of the most influential companies in the world.

Nowadays, people have turned what started as a study project into a career, and you have internet marketing specialists and SEO experts vying for the best positions on Google.

But how did Google start, and how did it grow into one of the most influential companies in the world?

The Founders Of Google – Who Invented It?

Google was founded in 1996 as a school project by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. While old search engines ranked the rankings by the number of times a keyword appeared on a page, Page and Brin came up with something new.

The Only Search Engine That Uses PageRank

Google PageRank is determined by the number of references to your website and its relevance. For example, a referral, or backlink, from a relevant website will be worth more than one from an irrelevant website. In simple language, it refers to how many backlinks a website has and the quality of those backlinks.

To rank well in Google, you needed a strong link profile. You do not create a good link profile; it arises naturally. At least, that’s Google’s idea. Google sees the backlinks as votes. And, as in a good democracy, you will have to earn votes, not force them.

    When Was Google Founded?

Google was founded on 4th September 1998, by Larry Page and Sergey Brin. The company now has approximately 53,861 employees. It is headquartered in Mountain View, California.

    What does Google Mean?

Google, formerly Backrub, used to run on the Stanford server. Google could then be reached via google.stanford.edu. The actual domain name “Google” was registered on September 15, 1997. Page and Brin later renamed their search engine “Google,” a play on the word “googol.” In mathematics, Googol is a notation for a number with the value 10^100. The name Google eventually came about as a result of a spelling mistake by Page.

The History Of The Google Logo

Since the development of the first Google logo in 1998, it has undergone necessary development over the years. Where the application of the colors blue, red, yellow, and green, and the use of the letters GOOGLE, have always been stable factors, the most significant adjustments lie in the chosen design.

For example, the logo became brighter in 2010 and provided a slight shadow edge, only to disappear three years later. The most recently developed logo, at the time of writing, dates back to 2015. It still maintains its usual layout and color palette. The choice for a sans-serif font is the most significant adjustment in years.
